The Salam Yemen Foundation's health program aims to improve the overall health status of target communities, reduce preventable morbidity and mortality rates, and ensure that every individual has access to safe, affordable, and quality primary and secondary health care, with a focus on prevention, treatment, and health education.

Our main work areas in the health program:

Through its health program, Salam Yemen Foundation works to achieve these goals through the following strategic axes:

  1. Supporting and strengthening health infrastructure:

    • Construction, restoration, and rehabilitation of health units and facilities: Rehabilitation of damaged health centers and hospitals, and construction of new units in deprived areas to ensure a suitable and sustainable treatment environment.
    • Equipping healthcare facilities: Providing facilities with essential medical equipment, diagnostic devices, and medical furniture necessary to provide effective services.
  2. Providing basic health services and specialized care:

    • Primary health care: Providing comprehensive services including maternal and child health (antenatal care, safe delivery, postnatal care, newborn health), expanded immunization, family planning, and treatment of common and infectious diseases.
    • Combating malnutrition: Implementing programmes to detect malnutrition among children, pregnant and lactating women, and providing the necessary treatment and supplementary feeding.
    • Providing medicines and medical supplies: Ensuring that essential and life-saving medicines and medical supplies are available free of charge or at subsidized prices to the most needy.
    • Field medical campaigns and mobile clinics: Organizing campaigns to reach remote and isolated communities that lack regular health services.
    • Psychosocial Support: Integrating primary psychological support services into health care, Providing specialized support for cases that require it, Especially for groups affected by shocks and crises.
  3. Community health awareness and education:
